Tribute to Zoe Lynch, 1958 - 2021

On behalf of Breast Cancer Now I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to everyone who knew and loved Zoe. It is an honour to receive support in Zoe's memory - thank you so much.

Dear Zoe, I wish we could have met in person but even though we did not I feel I got to know you a little through our conversations that we had. We both had sons who we love dearly and therefore we had a certain bond. I promise I will always keep Tom in my thoughts and make sure he is doing ok Rest in peace Zoe. You are with your mum and dad now. I will cherish our conversations and the little birds you sent me last Christmas will always have a special place in my home. Lots of love always Liz. Zoe and I have been friends over 40years , gone but never forgotten

I’m going to miss Zoe, my trusted friend for over 20 years. We shared a lot of special times at AOL and beyond, she didn’t suffer fools but was the kindest and most caring person and fiercely loyal. Zoe was highly intelligent, she knew everything about everything from chickens, plant names to crafts and cookery. She was often the first person I’d turn to, even though she had her own health issues she was a fantastic support to me this year when I was hospitalised. I know she was so proud and accepting of her family who meant the world to her. Beautiful Zoe, no more pain. Joanie xxx

Zoe was my soul friend. We hit it off the minute we met, being very naughty and talking all night in hospital after our cancer ops! Our friendship just seemed to blossom. Zoe introduced me to West Green and there is a lovely secluded bench there where we would sit in the sunshine and talk or just be. There is a piece of history that will be forever Zoe and I in the replacement roof tiles we made and signed at The Vyne. Future generations will see them when the roof is re-tiled in years to come, I take comfort from that. RIP my beautiful friend x

Zoe was my friend, my companion, and my wife. We were friends for 40 years and married for 35. She was the best thing that happened to me. Zoe was an intelligent and talented lady who cared too little for her self and too much for others. She turned our house into a home, our children into caring respectable adults, while suffering constant pain and illness with dignity and without complaint. Her culinary skills were legendary, cooking cakes for family birthdays, meals for special occasions, Sunday roasts, and her speciality was Christmas lunch served on a beautifully laid table. But her talents didn't end there. Her knowledge of plants and gardening was second to none, and she could easily turn her hand to any making or crafting task. Tom once said she was Delia Smith, Kirsty Allsop, and Carol Klein all rolled into one. I was privileged to know her and so grateful she was my wife.

Thank you for setting up this memorial to Zoe. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
